GERI MUNICIPALITY

A tree for every child born

Tree planting was carried out on the initiative of the Office of the Environment
Commissioner, and the City Hall of Geri, as part of the "One Tree for Every Child Born"
campaign.
The aim is to develop the emotional connection of the residents with the trees and
consequently to educate their children who become contractors of the tree.
Planting trees is one of the main measures of dealing with climate change, improving the
environment, and our quality of life.
In 2015, this initiative was launched "A tree for every child born" where innovative water
saving irrigation systems were used, thus addressing the serious problem of Cyprus's
Rainbow in 2015.
